The Yellow Monkey: Sicks

The Yellow Monkey (ザイエローモンキー), abreviado pelos fãs para yemon (イエモン) é uma banda de Rock And Roll, formada em 1989. Com Kazuya Yoshii (vocal e guitarra), Hideaki Kikuchi (guitarra, backing vocal), Youichi Hirose (baixo, backing vocal) e Eiji Kikuchi (bateria). O nome sarcástico da banda, segundo os integrantes, deriva da premissa étnica de que o povo japonês tem aparência simiesca (Monkey) e que os orientais sejam conhecidos como amarelos (Yellow). Mas a própria banda já apresentou várias origens diferentes. O The Yellow Monkey encerrou as atividades oficialmente em 2004, com nove álbuns de estúdio.

Sicks é o sétimo álbum de estúdio da banda, lançado em 22 de Janeiro de 1997. É considerado pelos fãs e crítica como o melhor disco da banda, sendo o mais maduro e consistente trabalho.
